Georgia Wrestling Now welcomes PCW’s Stephen Platinum

For almost three years, Platinum Championship Wrestling has been one of the most talked about wrestling promotions in Georgia. The EMPIRE, which took over the Friday night Academy Theatre shows last November, has vowed that the night before Sacred Ground: Chapter Three will be the final Academy show. This Saturday is Sacred Ground in PCW’s new home of Porterdale, and Stephen Platinum is our guest on this week’s Georgia Wrestling Now to discuss PCW’s past and future, as well as where things will go following Sacred Ground. Listen live Mondays at 7 p.m. and call 347-324-5735 with your questions and comments.

Then we hear from EMPIRE Wrestling Champion “The Revelation” Shane Marx about his upcoming matches against former WWE star Bull Buchanan at Universal Independent Wrestling and Platinum Championship Wrestling Champion Mason at Sacred Ground: Chapter Three. Listen live Mondays at 7 p.m. and call 347-324-5735 with your questions and comments.

Georgia Wrestling Now welcomes some of the state’s top referees

They help maintain order during matches. They wear those zebra-striped shirts. And they usually have their backs turned while the bad guys get away with heinous acts against our favorite wrestlers. They’re the referees, and if they do their jobs well they tend to go unnoticed. But we’re giving them a chance to share a different perspective of wrestling as Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins and I are joined by Georgia Wrestling History‘s Larry Goodman to dedicate this week’s Georgia Wrestling Now to some of the state’s hardest-working rule-enforcers: Dee Byers, Duke Korey, Dustin Robinson and Ken Wallace. We also discuss recent and upcoming events in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, EMPIRE Wrestling, NWA Anarchy, Platinum Championship Wrestling, NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling, Fall Brawl II, Peachstate Wrestling Alliance and more. Listen live Mondays at 7 p.m. or hear the archive any time after that. And call 347-324-5735 for questions and comments.

Georgia Wrestling Now welcomes James Powers, Chris Damian and Eric Corvis

Even though this week’s Georgia Wrestling Now was the first of the post-dany only era, we still felt the effects of the previous actions of “The Human Hand Grenade” when we heard from Beyond Wrestling‘s Eric Corvis. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Corvis is the man only inexplicably tried to stab following a recent Beyond Wrestling event. Having heard our send-off to only last week, Corvis requested some air time to discuss his dealings with our former co-host, and it turns out only was listening. And not happy with what he was hearing. As if that wasn’t explosive enough, we also heard from Dynasty Championship Wrestling Heritage Champion “The Mega-Star” James Powers about this weekend’s Wrestling for Miracles event. And we found out more about Pro Wrestling Resurrection (formerly The New Tradition Pro Wrestling) when TNT veteran Chris Damian called to talk about the promotion’s first show under the PWR banner. Wrestling with Pop Culture and Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins also discussed recent and upcoming events from Peachstate Wrestling Alliance, NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling, EMPIRE Wrestling, Platinum Championship Wrestling, NWA Anarchy and more. It all starts at 7 p.m. EST.
