Georgia Wrestling Now welcomes the Alabama Wolfman, the Kentucky Wolfman and Drew Game

Halloween’s over, but this week’s edition of Georgia Wrestling Now is as monstrously wacky as ever. Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins and Wrestling with Pop Culture talk to the Alabama Wolfman, who hasn’t been seen since being defeated by Dragula at Monstrosity Championship Wrestling’s matches at the Wrestling with Pop Culture Anniversary Party last March. He has something hairy in store for Dragula at MCW’s Nov. 16 event at Club Famous in the form of his angry cousin, the Kentucky Wolfman. And if MCW’s Wolfmen don’t provide enough absurdity for one show, we also talk to Drew Game about this weekend’s matches at WrestleHemia, a rock ‘n’ roll wrestling sideshow at JJ’s Bohemia. It all begins at 7 p.m. EST and you can call in with questions and comments at 347-324-5735.

Amidst the rock 'n' roll sideshow atmosphere, Drew Game's arrogance does not go over well with the WrestleHemia audience.

Georgia Wrestling Now welcomes “Wild Child” Joey Kidman, Atlanta Midget Wrestling’s Pit Bull and TNA’s Gunner

Halloween’s only a couple of days away, which might explain the eclectic nature of this week’s Georgia Wrestling Now. After attending WWE‘s Hell in a Cell at Philips Arena on Oct. 28, Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins and Wrestling with Pop Culture talk to established and emerging competitors from upcoming Georgia wrestling shows. Our first guest is preparing for one of the biggest matches of his young career as he challenges the Ultimate Dragon for the Peachstate Wrestling Alliance Heritage Championship on Nov. 3, and I’m talking about the “Wild Child” himself, “Rock & Roll” Joey Kidman. Atlanta Midget Wrestling‘s Pit Bull talks to GWN about the promotion’s Columbus Georgia Convention and Trade Center debut on Nov. 9, and its return to the North Atlanta Trade Center on Nov. 10. Finally, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling‘s Gunner talks to us as he prepares to challenge Rick Michaels for the Pro Wrestling Resurrection Heavyweight Championship at Turmoil on Nov. 4.

Georgia Wrestling Now welcomes Michael Cannon, Stryknyn, Worst Case Scenario and DeWitt Dawson

You ever notice how many big wrestling shows there are in Georgia this time of year? Well, Georgia Wrestling Now has certainly taken note. And if this week’s edition is any indication, there are no signs that this trend is ending anytime soon. After successfully defending the Southern States Championship against Anthony Henry in a loser-leaves-Alternative Pro Wrestling match last Friday, “The Lethal Dose” Stryknyn talks about his match against Adrian Hawkins for the Young Lions Championship at Anarchy Wrestling‘s Fright Night this Saturday. Revolution Wrestling Association Tag Team Champions Ethan Case and Eli Evans, collectively known as Worst Case Scenario, talk about their upcoming match at the inaugural People’s Wrestling League Battle for Supremacy tournament. DeWitt Dawson, who has been managing The Jagged Edge and new Platinum Championship Wrestling Champion “The Revelation” Shane Marx at Universal Independent Wrestling, also requested a few minutes of our time, as did NWA Action Champion Michael Cannon. So Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins and Wrestling with Pop Culture tried to oblige them all, while also discussing WWE‘s Hell in a Cell, Rampage Pro Wrestling‘s Doctoberfest and more.

He’s the current Pro Wrestling Resurrection Heavyweight Champion and one half of the Peachstate Wrestling Alliance Tag Team Champions. He’s had his ups and downs, but this week Rick Michaels is our guest on Georgia Wrestling Now. Listen in as Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins and Wrestling with Pop Culture talk to Michaels about his NWA Wildside days, his work with newer promotions like Platinum Championship Wrestling, his ongoing rivalry with former Exotic Ones partner Simon Sermon and more.

Georgia Wrestling Now welcomes Les Thatcher and “The Demigod” Mason

Georgia Wrestling Now, with Wrestling with Pop Culture, Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins and Georgia Wrestling History‘s Larry Goodman, have plenty to talk about after a weekend that included big shows from Universal Independent Wrestling, Alternative Pro Wrestling, Chikara, Rampage Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Resurrection and more. But our guests have even more to talk about given their respective backgrounds. A legend in almost every aspect of professional wrestling, Ringside Rap co-host Les Thatcher joins us to talk about the wrestling seminars he’s conducting at Deep Southern Championship Wrestling Oct. 13-14. Later in the show, undisputed Platinum Championship Wrestling Champion “The Demigod” Mason graces us with his presence. Which reminds me, this is our first anniversary show and Mason was the very first guest on GWN. So things come full circle on this edition of GWN!

Georgia Wrestling Now broadcasts live from PCW’s Sacred Ground: Chapter Three

Georgia Wrestling Now, with Wrestling with Pop Culture‘s Jonathan Williams, Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins and Georgia Wrestling History‘s Larry Goodman, does a special broadcast live from Platinum Championship Wrestling’s Sacred Ground: Chapter Three on Sept. 29. Our broadcast begins during the first match, so whether you were there or want to try to find out what you missed, listen here. This show was our first attempt at broadcasting live from a wrestling event, so please excuse the audio issues and other mishaps. And if Matt and my self-indulgent attempt at being wrestling commentators is unbearable, you can just read Larry Goodman’s Sacred Ground review.
